Tues. Rainy 60 degrees
I worked around house. Sewed some. Kept Smith tonite while they went to ball game.
Footnote: Smith Kevin is the young son of her brother, Everette and his wife Ruth. Smith was born 9-20-62 so he was not yet 3 years old. I wonder if Stephen (b. 9-13-51) or Sandra (b. 11-2-54) was playing basketball then.
My note: This is weird - the weather here in Cincinnati was 60 degrees and rainy today. I talked to Redge today and they are all doing fine. Had bad colds in Dec. but are all better now. We talked about Janie Slemp Williams and her connection to the family. I didn't know that Reba Ely Reasor and Valeria Ely Slemp were twin sisters of Uncle Millard Ely, Estelle's husband. Redge says he doesn't think that Uncle Hop Slemp and his Uncle Elbert Slemp are related. Elbert Slemp married Valeria Ely Slemp and had several children, Janie and C. B and I think there was another son named Jack but I don't know that for sure.
We also talked about Aunt Becky Reasor and Pearl Reasor Barkley. Aunt Becky Reasor was a sister of our grandfather, Martin Reasor (Pappy). Pearl was Aunt Becky's daughter making her first cousin to Estelle. I would like to have more information on Pappy's side of the family. I'll get that from Stephen next time I see him. I remember Uncle Doc, Ray Reasor lived in Pennington and Joe Reasor lived in Stickleyville. I remember going to see them but not sure if they are related to Pappy and Aunt Becky. I'll find out.
