Mon.  Warmer  Snow on ground.  most of it thawed today.

I quilted most of day.  Went over to see Smith late.  Ruth took him to a specialist today.

Footnote:   Smith(b. 9-20-62) is the youngest son of Everette (her brother) and Ruth Reasosr.   They live just across the road.

My note:   we are in the deep freeze today - 9 degrees this morning.   I went to Rachel's yesterday and stayed with Hope while Dave and Rachel went out to celebrate their wedding anniversary.  I don't remember which one but I think 17 or 18.  Max was just a toddler and he is a senior in high school this year.   They went to the Casino in Lawrenceburg, Ind. ( 10 miles away).  They had the buffet which they said was not worth the $27.00 each and then they had tickets to see STIX - an old band from the 70's which Rachel loved.    They enjoyed it so much.  It was the original band and she remembered the members names.   I taught Hope (she is 10 now) how to hook-a-rug.   She had the kit but didn't have the hook - which I bought for her.  She catches on really fast and has good hand-eye movement.  She does have a short attention span, so she would work a little and play a little.  I made a big pot of vegetable soup and watched Titanic in between working with her.    It was 10 degrees when I got in the car to come home about 11:00.    Looks like the whole country is in some sort of winter weather.  Just glad it is not 6' of snow.
