Wed.  Fair.

I went to the Dr. and Mrs. Bull met me in town and we made all the stores.  Come home on the bus.  To prayer meeting tonite.

Footnote:   I don't know anything about Mrs. Bull.   I forgot there was a bus that ran from Big Stone Gap.  Seems like I remember the bus going to Middlesboro, Ky. or Knoxville, Tenn.  Not sure if there was one bus or more.  I don't think I ever rode it.

My note:  I have a story about the Greyhound Bus.  I graduated from high school May 26, 1960 and three days later my mother and daddy packed all my clothes and drove me to Orlando, Florida.  Mother had made arrangements with C. F. and Delilah Shuler to let me live with them for the summer.   Mother was just sure that I would run away with my high school sweetheart, so she got me as far away as she could.  They left me there.  Can you tell I wasn't very happy about that - I didn't like anything about it.  What is worse, Delilah got me a job working at the factory where she worked, working with time cards.  I had to send my paychecks home to Mother.   Worst summer I ever had.   Back to the reason I am telling you this,   I rode the Greyhound bus from Orlando to Bristol where they picked me up.  I was on the bus just over 24 hours by myself at 18.    I should have written a story about all the characters that got on and off that bus.
