Friday Fair  Cold

I washed and set out some of my strawberries.

Footnote:  Wonder just how cold it was for her to be out there digging in the dirt.  She was tough, I know that.   That is why the strawberries were so good.  Can't get that taste in strawberries anymore.  I have some I just bought  and they are hard as can be.  Taste like they were frozen and picked green.  So are the blueberries, they are not good right now.  Anyway, I love fruit but this time of year it is hard to find it worth eating = and SO expensive.   I wish she could have sold a small basket of strawberries for $3.99.  Daddy Shuler sold his for about 25 cents a basket.  They would all turn over if they knew what we are paying for fresh fruit and veggies now.
