I rode to St. Charles with Millard collecting. Quilted the rest of the day. Mrs. Graham had a shower for Cathy Kelly tonite (baby) . We had a good time.
Footnote: St. Charles is a small coal mining town about 9 or 10 miles to the West, near Pennington Gap. Millard is her husband. He worked for Collier's Furniture store and I am guessing he was collecting money from people who bought furniture "on credit". Mrs. Graham was a neighbor and I don't know who Cathy Kelly is. Could be related to Estelle Kelly, her good friend from church or could be part of the Emily Jane Kelly family, another church family. I wonder what she gave for a gift - was it a quilt? Probably.
