July 7, 1980 Aunt Estelle wrote

Monday  1980   coolish early to real hot.   Redge & family got started about 9 and I washed 3 loads of clothes.  swept some. Baked apple pies for Mrs. Orr's family.  Wendi & I took them over.  Millard & I went to the Dr. late and then over to Mrs. Orr's a minute.  I went up to the garden late and planted a row of beans.

Footnote:  Redge is her son who lives in Charlotte, N.C.  Mrs. Orr is her neighbor and long-time friend.  Wendi is her granddaughter.  Millard is her husband.     She sure had a busy day.   Would love to have a piece of that apple pie right now.  She made the best.

my note:   finally NOT raining here today.  supposed to later in the day again.   Rachel and Hope came to visit yesterday and Rachel took me home for a few minutes.   Got my sewing machine and my CAR.  Now I can drive and get around by myself.  I am not feeling the dizziness anymore and beginning to feel more like myself again.   Still have a weird appetite and thinking it could be from the gallbladder.    All in all, things are good.  sewing on doll bodies again so all is well.
