Sat. 1980 Fair, hot. Richard Damer stoped in and stayed for lunch. Harold Shuler & Va. were here a while. Elizabeth got sick about 1 o'clock. We got her to Penn. to hospital, in intensive care. Probably a heart attack.
Footnote: Richard Damer, I think, was a neighbor and did some work for them. I remember hearing his name but don't know much about him. Harold Shuler is a neighbor and Virginia, his wife, is a cousin to Estelle. Elizabeth Reasor is Jennings' (Estelle's brother) wife and they live nearby. They took her to Pennington Gap which has the closest hospital. Sounds serious if she has had a heart attack.
My footnote: It is a beautiful day here in the neighborhood, no humidity and blue sky. Rachel has taken the day off and is coming to spend it with us. Hope and Dave are on a camping trip with a large group of friends. It is an annual trip that is for fathers and children only. Wives are not invited so Rachel has a free weekend and she is so excited. We are going to drive to Dry Ridge, Ky. - about 30 minutes away to a big quilt shop. It is off the beaten track and on a big farm. Been a couple of years since we were there. They always have interesting fabrics. I am feeling just fine now after 7 weeks of mending. I am about ready to go back home. But I may have to stay here until after the gallbladder surgery. I will have that done sometime in August. Hope all is well with all you people who read this blog.
Just a reminder, my Mother's birthday is Tuesday, July 16. If all is well with her, I'd like to plan a birthday party/family reunion around the same time next year - she will be 95.
Keep the date in mind if you think you would come.
