Wed. 102 degrees. We are really burning. I went to the garden early for beans. We cooked some. After lunch I went with Jennings to see Elizabeth. We rode around a little late tonite.
Footnote: She must have needed the beans if she went to the garden with the heat like that. Rosemary is there so that is who she means when she said "we cooked some." Jennings is her brother and Elizabeth is his wife who is in the hospital in Pennington Gap - about 8 miles away. I wonder if Rosemary remembers where they rode around. Hard to believe it was getting that hot in the mountains.
Happy Birthday to my Mother, Edith Reasor Shuler who is celebrating 94 years today. She is the last of that generation to celebrate.
