September 11, 1981 Aunt Estelle wrote

Friday 1981  Fair  cool to hot.

I washed some.  Went to the garden, dug some potatoes.  Got melons & tomatoes.  The Bull Dozer come and fixed Ruth's place for her trailer today.

Footnote:   Ruth Smith Reasor is her sister-in-law.  She was married to Everette,  the youngest son of Lula Baker Reasor..   They lived in the big house - the homeplace.  After Uncle Everette died, Aunt Ruth moved in to a mobile home that she had parked in the side yard of the big house.   It was a very nice place and I am sure much easier on her to keep clean and she must have felt safer.

Remember the tragedy that happened in this nation 13 years ago.  Thinking of the great number of people who were affected by the event.   It must be hard on them to get thru this day.  It was all an evil and unnecessary loss.
