1980 Thursday 75 degrees. So nice today I could hardly stay in. We finally rode down to Uncle Millards and up the back road and stopped at Richard Danner's. Betty Kelly & Diana come tonite, brought us some fruit. Sylvia called.
Footnote: She is still recovering from her surgery and itching to get out again. Uncle Millard is Millard Baker, the half-brother to her mother. Richard Danner is a neighbor friend. Betty Kelly and her daughter Diana are church friends and live in the neighborhood. Sylvia is also a Kelly who is a neighbor and fellow church member.
1981 Friday. Fair 78 degrees. Jennings come down to fix lights and I fixed steak, gravy & biscuits and he & Stephen & Justin ate lunch with us. Millard & I went to Appalachia for a washing machine part.
Footnote: Jennings is her brother who lives nearby. Stephen is her nephew and Justin is Stephen's son. Millard is her husband. Appalachia is a coal mining town about 10 miles northeast.
My note: Hope is still her with me. She went to class with me yesterday and helped with the mosaic I am making. I forgot to enter the April birthdays.

11 Heather Jolene Zubke Born 1971 - Heather is married but for the life of me, I don't remember her last name. She has two sons and she is a lawyer.
17 Lori Suzanne Shuler Born 1975 (Doug's daughter) She lives in Kingsport, Tn., has one son, Brody. She is a school teacher.
8 Aunt Lucy married Uncle Ralph Zubke in 1944 - The lived on a big farm in Goodrich, Michigan and he worked for Pontiac . They had Barry and Norma. Barry has 3 daughters and Norma has a son and daughter. Barry and 2 of his daughters live in the Houston, Tx area. Heather lives in the Northeast. Norma's son, Brian lives in the Kalamazoo area and runs the business that his Dad started. Laura lives in ST. Joseph, Mi. and works for Whirlpool.
Happy Birthday to my Mom, Aunt Lucy! She would hve been 98 today--Laura was so hoping she would make it to Willard Scott's birthdays on the Today show! Thanks Pat for this constant reminder of our wonderful heritage!!
