Cloudy, rain. Rained all last nite. I worked in the house all morning. Jennings picked me up and we went to Mrs Slaughter's funeral. She was the Mom of Delilah & Arlene Sharp. Randy graded tobacco half the nite.
Footnote: Jennings is her brother who lives near by. Mrs. Slaughter lived in Big Stone Gap, Va. Delilah and Arlene lived in Big Stone Gap too, in houses that were on the same lot. Delilah was a good friend to my Mother. Randy is her farm hand or sharecropper.
