Clear.  I finished digging potatoes and washed a load of clothes.  We took the tractor & trailer and brought in the pumpkins & cushaues.  To prayer meeting tonite.

Footnote:     I wonder how many potatoes she had and how did she get them to the house.  She had a cinderblock building behind the house and I think that is where she kept the things she canned and the potatoes and apples.  The building would stay cool all year and the vegetables would keep all winter. Did she keep the pumpkins and melons in there too?     Life was much simpler then.    They had to think and make plans to have food all winter.   We don't think about any of that - we just go to the grocery and pay.     Think about what you would do today if you couldn't go to the grocery and get fresh fruit and vegetables.   It would take a lot of planning and today would be too late to get you thru this winter.
