Sunday rainy all day.
We went to visit at the hospital. Back by Mrs. Bailey's & Ruby's a minute. Sick is all better we think.
Footnote: I'm not sure who Mrs. Bailey is or Ruby. I don't know what she means by that last statement. Sometimes I have a hard time reading her writing so one of the words could be wrong.
My Note: Well I am back from Michigan and all the wedding festivities. It was a lovely wedding and a busy weekend. I drove all day Friday to Kalamazoo - got to the hotel about 3 PM. Meet Norma in the bar and Barry's 3 girls were there as well as some of Norma's friends. Then we walked down the street - 20 degrees - to a restaurant for the rehearsal dinner. Nice dinner - chicken very spicy - lots of wine. Saturday we walked - again very cold - to the restored factory building where the wedding and reception took place. Norma had just a few things to finish the decorating. Wedding was at 5 PM and we walked again to the building - this time is was snowing just a little, still cold. Wedding was beautiful and Laura was a glowing bride. Groom cried when she walked in - Doug and Norma walked her down the aisle and gave her away. Ceremony was not very long. Then the reception was on another floor in the same building. Live band which was very loud and the kids loved it - they danced the whole time. Food and wine were plentiful and good. Some of us went to Norma's to spend the night Sunday and Barry's girls planned a surprise birthday dinner for Barry. It was delicious and he had two cakes - here's why. Norma ordered a cake for him and left instructions for Doug to pick it up Saturday afternoon. He forgot so we had carrot cake and chocolate cake with candles. Barry was 70. It was all very good. Barry and Patty left Norma's about 8:30 Monday driving back to Texas. The girls were driving to Chicago airport to catch flights. I left about 10 and got home about 4 PM. Nice weekend and I wish some of the other relatives could have been there too. I got to see Brian's cute baby.
