Monday Big Frost 1980 Nice sunshiny day. warmed up Jennings and I went to Kingsport. I saw my ear Dr. We shoped some. Come by Roy & Edith's.
Footnote: Jennings is her brother who lives nearby and she is very close to. Edith is her sister who lives in Big Stone Gap. Big Stone is a small town located about 9 miles from her home and situated between her home and Kingsport.
My note: I am back home after doing a show today in a wealthy suburb of Cincinnati. Rachel came to go with me at 6:30 this morning and it was pouring buckets of rain. We loaded the car yesterday so we were ready to go. We stopped at McDonalds to get sausage biscuits. Pulled to the window to pay and was told that the person in the car in front of us had already paid our bill so I said, "oh this is going to be a good day". I gave the gal the $5.00 bill I had out to pay for our food and told her I wanted to pay for the order in the car behind me. By the time we got to the show site, the rain had cleared out. We got the tent set up and Leah came to help. It rained off and on all day but I had a booth full of people all day and sold a lot of things. About 4:00, it started pouring again and we packed up the booth and left. I am tired as I stood on the hard pavement most of the day. It was fun spending the day with my girls and I sure appreciate their help. Next show Nov 23 - indoors - no rest....
