October 24, 1980 Aunt Estelle wrote

Friday 1980, Fair warm.    I washed.  I got a new bed today,  Uncle Millard Baker & Aunt Rosalee moved to Cincinnati today.  Jennings ate lunch with us.  I was down to Va. Shuler's a minute.

Footnote:  Uncle Millard and Aunt Rosalee had lived in Virginia all their lives.  I know it must have been hard for them  to leave.  It must have been hard also on Aunt Estelle to see them go.  That is what she meant when she wrote a couple days ago that she "said her goodbyes",    Millard Baker is the half-brother to Estelle's mother, Lula Baker Reasor.   They moved into a house on the westside of Cincinnati,  near where I live.   I visited them a few times.  One time, Uncle Jennings stopped at my house - he had been to Michigan and was on his way back to Virginia - and I took him to visit with Uncle Millard and Aunt Rosalee.   They have two sons that live in the Cincinnati area.  Jennings is her brother.  Virginia Shuler is her cousin who lives nearby.
