I took a walk up the back road and down by the cemetery. Ruth, Sandra & Smith & I went to Appalachia and Big Stone. Visited Edith awhile
Footnote: Well, 1965 is over and on to 1966. I'll try to keep up a little better in the new year. I was so busy in November and December that I had to get my priorities in order. I wish each of you a glorious New Year with good health and happiness.

I stayed in all day. Read some and sewed some. I have a sore throat.
My Note: I wondered how long it would take her to come down with the cold after she went to see Betty Kelly who was so sick she couldn't come to church on Sunday. 3 days is about what it takes after exposure.

My note: sorry I have been out of touch. I have been busy with I don't know what, but seems I couldn't find the time to sit down. I'll try to get back to posting more often. I know lots of things are going on health wise with our family but it all seems to be under control either by the Doctor or Hospital. Tough getting old. I am now a great grandmother. Leslie had a sweet baby boy, Lane Michael Davis, on Dec. 8. They are home and doing fine. I am going to babysit this afternoon while they get some shopping done. Goody for me. We had our annual cookie bake at Leah's new kitchen Saturday and it was a mess. I made fudge - with walnuts and without and glazed pecans. The girls made a huge number of cookies of all kinds. And buckeyes. of course none of us need any of that but the fun is in the mess. I hope each of you have a wonderful holiday filled with good food, family and friends.
